{2018: Year in Review}

Somehow, despite trying my best to slow it down, another 365+ days have passed.  2018 has come & gone and we are into our first week in 2019.  It's a big year...I turn 40 {what?! ugh}. But I guess it is certainly better than the alternative.

I always love recapping the previous year...so here's a look back at 2018! {be prepared...it's long!}

January started with our annual wine swirl in downtown.  I think this year will be our 5th year?!  You can read all about it here.

The next week, we were hit with more ice & snow {this winter loving girl was NOT complaining} and it shut down most of Brenham for a few days.
We ended the month with Bo & Morgan having a sleepover!
We kicked of February by celebrating Nola's 3 year adoption anniversary!  You can read about it here.
I hosted a super bowl party.
Had a "me" day {my favorite tradition I started a few years ago}.
And celebrated my 39th birthday here.
March is my busy time at work, but I took Mason & a few of his friends to an A&M baseball game.
Had a little scare with Nola, but after 2 trips to the vet & x-rays - the doc concluded it was just a sprain.
We also celebrated this sweet boy turning 1 & I did a little junkin'.  You can read all about both here.
I started out April by hosting Easter at my house.
And discovered that my yard at Take-All Root Rot {and began a 3 month journey of lots of time & $$ getting it back into shape}.
There was Aggie Muster.
Bo had a sleepover.
And Morgan had a horse show.
May was a busy month!  It was all about Maifest...
And margaritas {hello!  we had to celebrate Cinco de Mayo}
The 3 year Blue Bell layoff anniversary at On Deck.
Mother's Day at mom & dad's.
Morgan's play at school.
More Aggie baseball.
And a little backyard makeover {yep, I painted those tiles}!  You can catch up on May here.
I don't know where the heck June went...but you can read about it here & here.
I hosted a bridal shower at my house.
Spent several nights at the ballpark cheering on Nolan & the Washington County All Stars.
Bo had a sleepover.
We celebrated Morgan's birthday.
And my boss of 22 years retired...sad, sad day at Blue Bell.
July started out with lots of rain {which is a good thing in the middle of the summer}.  It rained most of the day on the 4th of July so we spent a quiet day at home.
Blue Bell released it's first snacks in 3 years.
And then it just got crazy hot the rest of the month.
In August, we took at road trip to Waco & did all things Magnolia!  You can read all about our trip here.
 I helped decorate for a friend's daughter's wedding.
And attempted to grow pumpkins...which I failed miserably at.
We kicked off September with a trip to Matagorda to celebrate Colby's 30th birthday.  You can read more here.
The rest of September  was about the fair {Morgan showed her first goat}.
And more junkin' in Warrenton.
October was crazy busy! I hosted National Night Out at my house.
It was the Homecoming Parade.
We road tripped to the A&M/South Carolina game...you can read all about it here.
I hosted a baby shower at my house on a Friday night.
And then hosted a Halloween party on that Saturday night.
And then Morgan had her first communion on Sunday.
Halloween was a bummer because it got rained out after about 30 minutes.  But thankfully I still got to see most of my cute trick or treaters.

November kicked off with a garage sale.
Celebrating Nola's 4th birthday.
Ladies' night at Allied Ace.
And an early winter!
For Thanksgiving, I once again helped serve meals at the Faith Mission.
Followed by some Black Friday {& Thursday} shopping.
And finally, the ladies at work & I went for a girl's night in College Station.
December is my favorite month of the year!  We started out with the Christmas Stroll downtown.
And a horse show for Morgan.
The next week, Brenda, Taurie & I spent 4 days in New York City.  You can read all about it here & here.
I got home and Morgan & I worked on a gingerbread house.
And I did some baking for a few friends.
We had ugly Christmas sweater day at work.
Enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets.
And went to candlelight Christmas Eve service at church.
Nola made the nice list so Santa paid her a visit.
I hosted Christmas at my house on Christmas Day night.
And then we celebrated our final Christmas of the year at Mom & Dad's on Thursday.
I reached a huge milestone on Instagram.  As many know, I have a home decor account that I have been working on for over a year.  My goal was 20,000 followers by the end of the year & I made it!  I did some fun collaborations this past year, including working with Kirkland's!  You can follow me here.

I said farewell  2018 & hello to 2019 with Mexican food & margaritas and Aggie football {in my pj's}!
Here's to 2019...I'm ready for ya!
