Happy New Year! Vacation is over & it's back to work. Ugh.
Although the thought of ringing in the new year, at home in my pj's sounded REALLY tempting - I decided at the last minute to have a small party. Nothing formal or fancy & it certainly wasn't the party of the night by ANY means...just more of a small get together. An Arctic front blew in this weekend & it literally has been freezing every day so temps were already in the 30's Sunday afternoon. No snow, freezing rain or ice so I still had a nice turnout.
We ate, drank & ate some more. The kiddos played & the adults played a few card games.
We ended the right by ringing in the New Year with black-eyed peas & blow horns. Wild & crazy? Nope...but I rang in the new year with almost all of my favorite people & I can't think of a better way!
No resolutions for me this year. I'm just going to go with it & what will be, will be. I had Monday off to recover & this morning had both Nola & I both like this...

Small gatherings with some of our favorite people is the best, that's what we did as well. Nothing real exciting - just some food & games - it was nice. :)
