{SUYL: About Me!}

Today I am linking up with Kelly's Korner for "Show Us Your Life"...About Me! So, allow me to introduce myself.

Howdy!  My name is Casey & I am {kinda} new to this whole blogging thing...I've only been blogging for about 2 1/2 years.  I wanted to start a blog for a long time, but never knew what I would write about since I am not married & don't have kiddos to post cute photos of.  I finally decided what the heck & went for it...even if no one ever reads it. =)  The title of my blog: Faith, Football & Fairy Tales came to me one day & instantly I knew it was PERFECT!  No, my life isn't a fairy tale, but I do believe in them...I just haven't found my "happily ever after" yet.

I was born & raised in the great state of Texas.  I live in a small town that still has parades thru downtown several times a year & where practically every one in town goes to the high school football games on Friday night.  And I LOVE it!  I sold my first house in May 2013 & moved back in with my parents for about a year & a half while my 2nd house was being built. I closed on it in August 2014.  I'm not a decorator by any means, but I love to dabble in home decor & small DIY projects.  I especially love decorating for the holidays.  I am supper excited to finally have a house to share in the Show Us Your Life Home Tour coming up in June!

As much as I love living in a small town, I love to travel to the big cities {especially ones in the north in the winter}.  I often question why I live in Texas because I HATE the heat.  And lets face it, it's hot about 10 months out of the year here.  I have traveled to Chicago, Washington DC, & New York City to name a few.  NYC is by far my favorite place...there is nothing more magical than New York City at Christmastime.
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in marketing, Class of 2001. Whoop!  I work for the company that makes "the best ice cream in the country".  Last year was a rough year, but things are finally looking up.  I LOVE football, especially Aggie football.  I am really enjoying our move to the SEC.  These football road trips are WAY more fun than Austin, Waco & Lubbock.  I have a group of lady friends who love Aggie football as much as I do so we hope to travel to as many SEC schools as possible over the next few years.  So far, we  have been to Ole Miss twice, Arkansas, LSU, & Alabama.  This year we are headed to Auburn!
I have been blessed with an amazing family & equally amazing friends.  I am the "middle child" & only girl; I have an older brother & a younger brother.  I have a nephew & niece who I adore and love spending time with.  Sleepovers at Aunt Casey's are always the best.

Last February, I adopted a shelter puppy & my life hasn't been the same since {in more ways than one. ha!}.  She chews up everything, sheds like crazy & digs like there is no tomorrow...but I love her to death & cannot imagine my life without her now!
That's me in a nutshell!  I am doing my best to blog more often so stop back by again soon. And if you are Instagram - follow me here. Thanks for shopping by & Happy Friday!!

  4. Nice to meet you. Stopped by from Kelly's Blog. I'm from AZ but currently live in Pittsburgh. I will gladly trade you locations. My husband and I think Texas is where we want to put down roots...but we really don't have a good reason why other than no snow. Is there a way to follow your blog without having Instagram?

  5. Stopping in from SUYL--so fun to get to "meet" you! I love the best ice cream in the country--the mint chocolate chip is my favorite because it isn't green ;). I'm glad things are looking up after your tough year and I look forward to reading good things from you soon!

  8. Howdy! Fellow A&M alum (my advanced apologies b/c I don't say too much about being an Aggie since it was grad school, but I'm stoked it's an SEC school). I grew up in AR but live in TX now, so I feel you on those 10 hot months! ha.
