{March Recap}

Oh my goodness.
I am sooooo far behind.
And sooooo much has happened.

Where do I begin.

I ended February with a neighborhood girl's night out at Royer's in Round Top.  We realized at the end of the night that we didn't get a group pic, but we had a great time.  It was a small group, but it was fun to sit & talk and enjoy some delicious food.

On Monday, Mom had her hip replacement surgery.  It went great & she was home by the next day.  Crazy, right?!
Jodie brought her home & I went with Debbie, Lynn & Gail to the Aggie baseball game...at Mom's request.  The game had been planned for a while {her original surgery date was 2 weeks later} so she insisted I go.
I took the rest off the week of to help with Mom's recovery...which went remarkably well.  She's 6 weeks post-op & doing amazing.  On Saturday, we celebrated Bo's 3rd birthday a few weeks early with a Sandlot party at the park.  But, leave it to crazy Texas weather...it was freezing cold!
The following week, Colby & Jodie headed to New Orleans and Mom & I kept Bo on Sunday.
And celebrated his actual birthday on the 17th.
It was around that time that things really started to go downhill.
It started with the closure of Casa Ole.  What the heck?!  It was definitely a favorite & it literally just closed its doors one day without warning.
Talk of the Coronavirus hitting the US started panic buying & for whatever reason, toilet paper was the first to go.  We are 6 weeks in & it's still hard to find.
Who knew Clorox wipes & hand sanitizer would be such a hot commodity?! When you found it - it was like you had struck gold!
At first, they extended spring break by a week.  And then two.  They advised people to stay home if possible, but honestly - no one had any idea how quickly things would escalate.  We had a girl's night at work planned on a Thursday.
We joked...
And then it happened.  The very next day, they closed all restaurants & bars for dine-in, and things escalated very quickly from that point on.  I feel like I need a whole post dedicated to Covid19...so stay tuned!
