{NYC: Day 4}

Man, time flies when you are having fun! Before we knew it, it was time to start packing up to head home.  We slept in a little Tuesday morning & spent some time packing up all of our stuff.  We headed down to a little cafe at the end of the block & grabbed breakfast {our hotel offered free breakfast there, but that was the first morning that we actually took advantage of it}...bagels & cream cheese were delicious!
Amanda had left her credit card at Carmine's the night before so we had to make a quick run back up there to grab it.  We took the subway back to Times Square & spent some time souvenir shopping.  We grabbed a quick lunch at Gray's Papaya {I'm pretty sure Morgan was going to turn into a hot dog on this trip...that's all she wanted to eat!!} and then headed back to the hotel to get our luggage.
Unsure of what traffic & the airport would be like, we decided to head there early just in case.  Thankfully nothing was bad & we arrived at our gate in plenty of time.  It gave us some time to chill, the kiddos to catch up on homework, etc.
Despite a somewhat shaky takeoff & a little turbulence, we arrived back in Houston around 8:30 Tuesday night.  After getting our luggage{we got to ride in the cart...another highlight of the trip for the kids}, we headed back home to Brenham!
Someone was pretty excited to see me when I got home! =)
We had a fabulous time & I was so sad when it was over.  It was my 8th time to NYC, but it was fun watching the kids experience it for the first time.  After a 4 year travel break, it felt so good to be back at it again....but unfortunately now I want to go again!!  No future travel plans as of now, but if I come across an airfare deal I can't pass up....you just never know! =)
